XC ( eXperience Coins ) List
( All Guilds )
Well done! If you have gotten this far you have already created your epic character, successfully passed your Novice stage, and now you are playing your Guild and have some XC to burn! Congrats!
Below you will find the XC (eXperience Coins) costs for common advancements that are available to all. Just Click on the the bold, underlined headers below.
Extra Hit Points, Extra Spell Slots (or purchase a Spell Cycle), Extra Prayer Slots (or purchase a Prayer Cycle), Extra Psionic Slots (or purchase a Psionic Cycle), Extra Mana (or purchase a Mana Pool), Enchantments, Leveling Up.
~Extra Hit Points~
+1 HP to Body = 250 XC, +1 to both Arms = 200 XC, +1 to both Legs = 200 XC
Only 1 extra Hit Point may be bought on any area per Level.
If the Extra Hit Point is not bought before advancing to the next Guild level, the opportunity to do so is lost.
For example~ A Level 1 Barbarian has 3 Body, 2 on each Arm and 2 on each Leg. The Barbarian buys an extra Body Hit Point and an extra Arm Hit Point, which now makes the Warrior with a Body with 4 Hit Points, Arms with 3 Hit Points each, and Legs with 2 Hit Points each. Then the Barb buys the Level 2 Barbarian Guild package. The Leg Hit Point that was neglected may not be bought anymore, and the Character must go on as is.
~Extra Spell Slots (SS) / Spell Cycle (SC)~
Purchasing a Spell Cycle (when not supplied by Guild)
If the Character purchasing the Spell Slots/Spell Cycle is not of a Spell casting Guild and does not have a Spell Cycle already, then they must first learn how to harness and store a Spell. Therefore to buy the capacity to hold and use Magic, or in other words to purchase a Spell Cycle, and that is an act of dedication and study requiring much faith and diligence. In game terms this means to buy the ability just to have a Spell Cycle costs 500 XC. This Spell Cycle starts with 0 ( zero ) Spell Slots.
The Character must also follow all price multipliers for buying off of their Guild Tree. Buying a Spell Cycle is the same as buying off of the Wizard Skill List.
If the XC spending Character already has purchased a Spell Cycle and wishes more Spell Slots, then the cost is +1 Spell Slot for every 250 XC spent.
If the Extra Spell Slot is not bought before advancing to the next Guild level, the opportunity to do so is lost. Remember, all XC price modifiers apply.

~Extra Mana~
If the Character purchasing the Mana is not of a Spell casting Guild and does not have a pool of Mana other than their Racial Mana, then they must first learn how to harness and store the magic. Therefore to buy the capacity to hold and use Mana, or in other words to purchase a Mana Pool, is an act of dedication and study requiring much focus and diligence. In game terms this means to buy the ability to have a Mana Pool costs 250 XC.
They must also follow all price multipliers for buying off of their Guild Tree. Buying a Mana Pool is the same as buying off of the Wizards Skill List. This Mana Pool starts with 0 ( zero ) Mana.
If the purchasing Character already has a Mana Pool then the cost is +1 Mana for every 10 XC spent.
Mana growth between levels has limits. Spell casting Guilds ( with a Guild given Mana pool ) are limited to growing their mana only 50% of their maximum mana pool between any level.
For example - An Arcanist starts with 50 Mana on top of their Racial Mana ( Racial Mana may never be raised and is not figured into this equation, we are only dealing with Guild given Mana ) at Lv 2 they gain 30 more, for a total of 80, at Lv 3 they gain another 30 for a total of 110 Mana. If they bought their maximum allowed of extra Mana every Level, then they would have 230 Mana. 50 ( the Guild given Mana Pool base ) + 25 ( 50% of that 50 ) at Level 1, + 30 ( which now raises the maximum mana pool to 80 ) + 40 ( 50% of that 80 ) at Level 2, + 30 ( which now raises the maximum mana pool to 110 ) + 55 ( 50% of that 110 ) = 230
Non Spell Casting Guilds have a limit of 25 per Character Level. That would be a buying limit of 25 Mana at Lv 1, 50 more at Lv 2, and 75 extra at Lv 3. If a Character is replacing Mana lost permanently, and does not have the maximum Mana allowed to their Guild already, this limit does not apply, they may replace lost Mana to whatever amount they need to reach the maximum amount allowed under their Guild in the Guild section, then the limit applies.
~Enchantments~
Want to get something pretty? And by that I mean pretty frikkin' cool? Then you want to get something Enchanted. Any object roughly the size of a pop can or bigger can hold an Enchantment, and an Enchantment is any Magical effect in the game, including all Spells, all Prayers (Warlock included!), all Circles and all Runes. The only Magic that can't be Enchanted upon an object is Psionics. Skills may not be Enchanted.
To get something Enchanted, find an Enchanter! If not, Enchantments may always be purchased from GateHouse, and below are the prices in XC and Gold, for each category of Potions and Scrolls, and then Objects.
~Potions and Scrolls~
Potions and Scrolls are single use items, and they all expire at Midnight upon the day they were created. A Potion or Scroll may not be used the next day, weekend or Season, nor can they be stored in GateHouse on your permanent Character Sheet (as can Lootable Body Parts).
For Single use Skills, Spells and Clerical/Nature Prayers
The Spell or Clerical/Nature Prayer desired will have a Gold cost, and that will be~
For a Lv1 single use Potion or Scroll one quarter (25%) of the original XC purchase price of the Spell or Prayer the Magic uses, in Gold.

For a Lv3 single use Potion or Scroll there will be another additional 1/8th value, or half the cost of the Lv1 version added.
Example~
If one wanted to purchase a Level 3 Potion of Push (Spell version), the math would look like this~
Original cost of Spell is 360 XC.
The Lv1 Price would be 90 Gold (25% of original 360 XC cost)
The Lv2 price would be 90 Gold (25% of original 360 XC cost) + 45 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) = 135 Gold
The Lv3 price would be 90 Gold (25% of original 360 XC cost) + 45 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) + 45 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) = 180 Gold
For Single use Warlock Prayers
The Warlock Prayer desired will have a Gold cost, and that will be~
For a Lv1 single use Potion or Scroll one half (50%) of the original XC purchase price of the Prayer the Magic uses, in Gold.
For a Lv2 single use Potion or Scroll there will be an additional 1/4 value, or half the cost of the Lv1 version added.
For a Lv3 single use Potion or Scroll there will be another additional 1/4 value, or half the cost of the Lv1 version added.
Example~
If one wanted to purchase a Level 3 Warlock Potion of Shock Boulder, the math would look like this~
Original cost of Spell is 360 XC.
The Lv1 Price would be 150 Gold (25% of original 600 XC cost)
The Lv2 price would be 150 Gold (25% of original 600 XC cost) + 75 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) = 225 Gold
The Lv3 price would be 150 Gold (25% of original 360 XC cost) + 75 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) + 75 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) = 300 Gold
For Single use Circle Scrolls
The Warlock Prayer desired will have a Gold cost, and that will be~
For a Lv1 single use Potion or Scroll one half (75%) of the original XC purchase price of the Circle the Magic uses (do not include individual Symbol costs), in Gold.
For a Lv2 single use Potion or Scroll there will be an additional value of half the cost of the Lv1 version added.
For a Lv3 single use Potion or Scroll there will be another additional value of half the cost of the Lv1 version added.
Example~
If one wanted to purchase a Level 3 Warlock Potion of Protection from Were-Creatures, the math would look like this~
Original cost of Circle is 425 XC.
The Lv1 Price would be 319 Gold (75% of original 425 XC cost, rounded up)
The Lv2 price would be 319 Gold (75% of original 425 XC cost) + 160 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost, rounded up) = 479 Gold
The Lv3 price would be 319 Gold (75% of original 425 XC cost) + 160 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) + 160 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) = 639 Gold
For Single use Runic Scrolls
The Runic Phrase desired will also have a Gold cost, and that will be 100% the original XC purchase price of the Power Rune the Magic uses, and 25% original XC price of the Triggers of Area Effect or Power if used. in Gold, per Level desired.
Example~

The Lv1 Price would be 450 Gold (100% of original 450 XC cost)
The Lv2 price would be 450 Gold (100% of original 450 XC cost) + 225 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) = 675 Gold
The Lv3 price would be 450 Gold (100% of original 450 XC cost) + 225 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) + 225 Gold (50% of Lv1 cost) = 900 Gold
Another example, this time with the Triggers of Area Effect and Power~
If one wanted to purchase a Level 3 Runic Scroll of Protection By Infliction, Water, Area Effect, Power, the math would look like this~
Original cost of Power Rune is 450 XC, original cost of Area Effect Trigger is 500 XC and the original cost of the Power Trigger is 500 XC.
The Lv1 Price would be 450 Gold (100% of original 450 XC cost) + 125 Gold for the Area Effect Trigger + 125 Gold for the Power Trigger = 700 Gold
The Lv2 price would be 700 Gold (100% of original Lv1 cost) + 125 Gold for the Area Effect Trigger + 125 Gold for the Power Trigger = 950 Gold
The Lv3 price would be 900 Gold (100% Lv2 XC cost) + 125 Gold for the Area Effect Trigger + 125 Gold for the Power Trigger = 1200 Gold
